Musical “Our People Make the Difference”Together with his wife Karine, Fernand Huts, top executive of Katoen Natie, port company in Antwerp, hosted a four-day celebration in honour of the company’s 150th anniversary! No fewer than 11.000 guests from all over the world showed up in Antwerp to join the party. Place of the action from Thursday 25 to Sunday 28 August were three of the company’s hangars in Kallo, each with a surface of 8,000 m². Especially for this occasion and on his wife Karine's initiative, Fernand Huts had a musical written about Katoen Natie, titled "Our People Make the Difference", which by no coincidence is also the company's worldwide slogan. The show, which lasted for one full hour, portrayed the history of Katoen Natie with the backing of a 52-strong symphony orchestra, 20 choir members, 60 extra’s, 20 dancers, 20 flag wavers and several acclaimed Flemish artists. Together with his crew at Nexus Creative People, Stan Colders took on the production and creative direction of the entire event and show. We are ever so proud to have been given the chance to bring about the most grand and luxurious celebration of the past few years. No fewer than 30 freelancers, 15 actors and some 8 other companies and business partners were called in by Nexus Creative People to give life to this unique event! Of course it is only thanks to the family Huts’ enthusiasm and faith shown in Nexus Creative People that we were able to reveal and let our creativity thrive in its purest form.
